Georgia Population

Georgia (U.S. state abbreviation is 'GA') is the 24th largest by area, 8th most populous and south western US state. Georgia population in 2020 is estimated to be 10.7 million, bordered by Alabama to the west, South Carolina to the east, Florida to the south, Atlantic ocean to the southeast and Tennessee to the north. Founded in 1733 as a British colony, Named after King George II of Great Britain. It has an area of 59,425 sq miles (153,909 sq km) listed as 24th in area rank, and density is 165 people per sq miles. Atlanta is the most populous and capital city of Georgia.
Georgia Population

The population of Georgia in 2010 is 9.7 million, the recorded change is from 0.9 to 1.02 till 2012. By 2013 registered with 9.97 million the population decreased to 0.73% change and again started increasing to 0.96 in 2014 with 10.06 million and steadily increasing more than 1% change. As on 2018 Georgia state has 10.5 million residents with a change of 1.02 compared to 10.4 million population in 2017.

Georgia Population by Race & Groups

In terms of race and ethnicity, Georgia state has 57% of White American population where as 30.1 is Black or African American people, followed by 8.9% belongs to Hispanic or Latino and 3.7% belongs to Asian population origin, 388,946 residents, out of these 130,763 are Asian Indians, 58,147 are Chinese national, 21,832 are Filipinos, 54,951 are Korean and 54,116 are Vietnamese people. Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander are 5,237 people, out of which 1,434 belongs to Native Hawaiian, 966 are Guamanian or Chamorro and 1,187 are Samoan race. Regarding Hispanic or Latino origin, 556,633 are Mexicans, 93,138 are Cubans and 32,065 are Cubans.
