Manitoba is a province of Canada, lying midway between the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. borders Nunavut territory to the north, Hudson Bay to the northeast, Ontario to the east, to the south by the U.S. states of Minnesota and North Dakota, and to the west by Saskatchewan. Manitoba population in 2024 is estimated to be 1.47 million, covers area of 649,950 sq. km (250,900 sq mi). Indigenous peoples have inhabited what is now Manitoba for thousands of years. Manitoba province is one of Canada's strongest economies, with a low of cost of living and plenty of opportunities for careers, education and business. Manitoba cost of living is 30 to 40% lesser compared to British Columbia and Ontario. The easiest way to immigrate to Manitoba is through the Canada Express Entry immigration system. Manitoba's capital and largest city is Winnipeg, the seventh most populous municipality in Canada. Other important cities and towns include Brandon, Thompson, Dauphin, Churchill, Swan River, The Pas, Selkirk, Gimli, Portage la Prairie, Flin Flon, Steinbach, Morden, Emerson, Virden, Minnedosa, Lockport, Neepawa, and Winkler.
Population of Alberta as per 2016 census is 1,278,365, increase of 70,097 people from the last 2011 census of Population with 1,208,268. Population of Age group of 0 to 14 years is 243,820, 15 to 64 years is 835,580, 65 years and over is 198,965, 85 years and over is 29,210.

History
The aboriginal peoples have been living in the Manitoba region for thousands of years, although historically there has been considerable population movement. The rapid occupation of the agricultural lands between 1870 and 1914 and expanded into rural dominance.
