The Des Moines or Des Moines Metropolitan is an urbanized region centered on the city of Des Moines, Des Moines-Ames-West Des Moines is a Combined Statistical Area (CSA) had a population of 709,466 in 2020 ranks sixty-fourth in the United States CSA covering area of 3,645 sq mi (9,440 sq km), increase to 102,991 people which is 17% from 2010 census. It includes six counties in Iowa State are Polk, Dallas, Warren, Madison, Guthrie, and Jasper. The 2010 census population of these counties was 606,475.
