Lakewood is the city in Colorado State of United States, lies west of Denver and 62 miles north-northwest of Colorado Springs, located at the junction of Route 6 and Colorado Highway 121 in central Colorado. Lakewood population in 2022 is estimated to be 159,572, covers city area of 44.647 sq mi (115.635 sq km), ranks fifth largest city in Colorado State, one-hundred-sixty-seventh city in the United States. Lakewood city in Jefferson County, was started in 1889 by Charles Welch and Loveland, who planned for thirteen block area along Colfax Avenue west of Denver in eastern Jefferson County. Lakewood population as per 2020 census 155,984 compared to 2010 population is 142,980, with increase number of 13,004 people growth of 9.1 percent.
