Norfolk is an independent city in the Virginia State of the United States, located in the southeastern part of Virginia at the cross of the Elizabeth River and the Chesapeake Bay. It is part of Virginia Beach–Norfolk–Newport News metropolitan area. The Norfolk city is the central business district, while the Virginia Beach oceanside resort district.
