Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory of Australia, located in the Northern Territory on the Timor Sea. The city occupies a low bluff overlooking Darwin Harbour, flanked by Frances Bay to the east and Cullen Bay to the west. The Aboriginal people of the Larrakia language group are the traditional custodians and earliest known original inhabitants of the Greater Darwin area.
