It is bounded to the north by Lebanon, to the northeast by Syria, to the east and southeast by Jordan, to the southwest by Egypt, and to the west by the Mediterranean Sea. According to CBS, The past year saw the population grow by 2.2%, greater than the figure of 1.8% last year which is 62% from natural growth, and 38% from migration. Israel is third richest country in Asia.

According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, Israeli population is expected to reach approximately 10 million inhabitants by the end of 2024, around 15 million by the end of 2048 and approximately 20 million people by the end of 2065. Israel was established as a homeland for the Jewish people and is often referred to as a Jewish state. Israel country code is ISR. Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa are the most populous cities of Israel.
