Clarksville is the city in Tennessee State of United States, located on the northwest edge of the Highland Rim, which surrounds the Nashville Basin and is 45 miles northwest of Nashville. Under General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War, Clarksville was selected as a town to be settled in part by soldiers, At the end of the war, the federal government lacked funds to repay the soldiers, In 1790, The land was used to be settled by the families of soldiers as repayment of service to their country.
