San Angelo is located in the Concho Valley, Chihuahuan Desert to the southwest, a region of West Texas between the Permian Basin to the northwest, Osage Plains to the northeast, and Central Texas to the southeast. San Angelo population as per 2020 census is 99,893 compared to 2010 population of 93,200 with the increase number of 6,693 people and growth of 7.2 percent. The city has three lakes, namely, Twin Buttes Reservoir, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, and Lake Nasworthy.
