Tempe is a city in the Arizona State of United States, located in the East Valley section of metropolitan Phoenix. Tempe population in 2023 is estimated to be 186,294, covers city area of 40.23 sq mi (104.18 sq km), ranks eight largest city in Arizona State and one-hundred-forty-third populous city in the United States. The city is named after the Vale of Tempe in Greece. Arizona State University is located in Tempe city.
