Toledo is a city in the U.S state of Ohio, Toledo population in 2024 is estimated to be 271,700, covering city area of 84.12 sq miles (217.87 sq km), Toledo is the fourth-most-populous city in the U.S. state of Ohio after Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Initially Toledo city was founded in 1833 on the west bank of the Maumee River, incorporated as part of Monroe County, Michigan Territory, after the Toledo War, it was incorporated again in Ohio. By 1880, there were many glass manufactures arrived in Toledo, earning its nickname as The Glass City. Toledo is within 250 miles Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Chicago, which are from seven most populated metro areas with population greater than two million.

The Greater Toledo or Toledo Metropolitan Area is an urbanized region centered on the city of Toledo. Toledo-Findlay-Tiffin is a Combined Statistical Area, In 2019 the Greater Toledo population is estimated to be 831,295, ranks sixty-sixth most populous CSA. Toledo Metropolitan located on the border with Michigan, includes the counties of Fulton, Lucas, and Wood. The Greater Toledo area is located 40 miles north to Metro Detroit.
