Jamaica is an island country located in the Caribbean Sea, located 146 miles long and varies from 22 to 51 miles wide. It is situated some 100 miles west of Haiti, 90 miles south of Cuba, and 390 miles northeast of the nearest point on the mainland, Cape Gracias a Dios, on the Caribbean coast of Central America.Indies. Indigenous people were killed, after that Spanish brought large number of African slaves to Jamaica as laborers. The island was controlled by Spain until 1655, when England conquered it, renamed to Jamaica. 36,000 Indians were brought as indentured laborers between 1845 to 1917 for sugarcane farming, in few years Jamaica became a leading sugar exporter as economy dependent. The island achieved independence from UK on 1962. Jamaica ranks fifth most dangerous countries in the world. Kingston, Montego Bay and Spanish Town are the top dangerous cities in the world.

From 1990 to 2000, population increased to 2,654,698, and from 2000 to 2010 the population of Jamaica increase by 155,766 with a change of 5.87 percent and increase of population from 2010 to 2020 by 150,697 with a change of 5.36 percent and make up to 2,961,161.
