Maine (abbreviation is 'ME') is the north-eastern state of United state, borders Atlantic Ocean to the southeast, Quebec, province of Canada to the northeast and northwest and New Hampshire to the west. Maine population in 2024 is expected to be 1.39 million and 38th by population rank. Its area is 35,385 square miles (91,646 sq km), 39th position by area rank. Maine was admitted to the Union as the 23rd state on March 15, 1820. Maine percapita is Augusta and Portland is the most populous city. Maine has 3,478 miles of coastline and is popular for lobster production and single largest producer of blueberries in the US. Maine's earliest inhabitants were descendants of Ice Age hunters.

According to U.S. 2020 Census Results, ME population in 2020 is 1,362,359. Maine population in 2023 is expected to be 1.4 million, population in 2022 is expected to be 1.38 million, and in 2021 is expected to be 1.37 million.
