Santa Rosa is a city in California, State of United States, lies on the Santa Rosa Plain, along the US Route 101 corridor, approximately 55 miles north of San Francisco, via the Golden Gate Bridge. Santa Rosa means Saint Rose in Spanish, is a city in Sonoma County, in the North Bay region of the Bay Area, The city is in the watershed of Santa Rosa Creek. Santa Rosa population as per 2020 census is 178,127 compared to 2010 population of 167,815 with the increase number of 10,312 people and growth of 6.1 percent. Santa Rosa was founded in 1833 and named by Mexican colonists after Saint Rose of Lima.
