Mexico is a country in the southern portion of North America, borders United States to the north, Pacific Ocean to the south and west, to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico to the east. Mexico population in 2023 is estimated to be 134.2 million, covers country area of1,972,550 sq km (761,610 sq mi), ranks third largest country in Latin America, after Brazil, Argentina, thirteenth largest by area and tenth most populous country in the world, capital of Mexico is Mexico city, is one of the most populous cities and metropolitan areas in the world, and other major urban areas include Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puebla, Toluca, Tijuana, Leon and Querétaro. Mexico has experienced a series of economic booms followed by busts, with significant declines in living standards for the middle and lower classes. Mexico continues to struggle with social inequality, poverty, gun violence and extensive crime under drug cartels. Mexico ranks eighth most most dangerous countries in the world. Zamora, Fresnillo and Obregón are the top three dangerous cities in the world. .

Mexico Population Growth

Mexico population in 1960 is 37,771,861, by 1970 the population is increased by 13,721,704 totaling to 51,493,565, by 1980 the population is increased to 67,761,367, and by 1990 the total increase of 83,943,135 in 30 years from 1960 to 1990 resulting to 83,943,135. From 1990 to 2000, population increased to 98,899,845, and from 2000 to 2010 the population of Mexico increase by 15,193,116 with a change of 15.36 percent and increase of population from 2010 to 2020 by 14,839,792 with a change of 13.01 percent and make up to 128,932,753. Mexico population in 2023 is estimated to be 132.9 million, population in 2022 is estimated to be 131.6 million, and in 2021 is estimated 130.2 million.
